Common questions

Questions families ask

What is respite care?

Respite care gives family caregivers a break. A caregiver supports your loved one for a set time so you can rest, work, run errands or handle other responsibilities.

How soon can services start?

It depends on your family's needs, any required authorization and caregiver availability. We'll give you a realistic timeline when we talk.

My loved one is served by a Regional Center. What do I do?

Let us know when you call. If services are funded through a Regional Center, they usually need to be authorized before they begin. We can talk with you about the next steps, and your Service Coordinator can answer questions about your authorization.

Can we meet the caregiver first?

Yes. We arrange a meet-and-greet before care begins so your family can get to know the caregiver.

What if I'm not sure what we need?

That's fine. Just call us. We'll ask a few questions and help you figure out what fits.

Ready to talk?

We're happy to answer your questions, even if you're just exploring options.
